People carriers

People Carriers

One of the things that puzzles me about these things is why do you never see

them carrying people?

Normally it's just Mummy, with little Henrietta, occupying a space and a

half in the car park outside the Nursery School. When was the last time you

saw one packed with what they are supposed to be packed with - people?

Will someone please explain to me why the manufacturers are being allowed to get away with it when there are two problems facing us today - congestion

and the insecurity of fuel supplies. So how does making cars bigger and

bigger and greedier and greedier make sense?

"We need the space for all the family?" Excuse me, but families are smaller

than they used to be aren't they?

Well done, Richmond, is what I say. Black vans is what my wife calls them

and I reckon that sums them up very well.

Yours
