Hello I'm Oscar the rabbit. I'll tell you some facts about me and then we'll get on with the story.
• Well, I live with three chickens in a big shed for the night.
• For the day I run around in a big garden and hop in and out of a field.
• I have some wild rabbit friends that I play with.
• I live with three kids and two adults.
• My wife died of old age.
• I have three legs!
• I had my testicles removed.
So my story is that I'm a happy bunny with a few sad moments - like everyone (a couple of Funerals and some bad experiences with the vet.)
So you might be sitting there thinking how did he make friends with wild rabbits, how did the poor rabbit get three legs and so on, well in this story I'm going to tell you about it.
I have been a family pet for five years and I have never got told off.
To start off I was in a smaller house and in a cadge. Then the arrival of my wife (Roseanna) came. At first she was very friendly but after a few weeks she turned out to be mad!(she came from the rescue center ) I had my testicles removed so there were no babies around. My wife was always escaping to next door. She tried to take me with her once but my leg got caught on the wire, it turned out to be broken. So my owners took me to the vets. They put a splint on it for a few weeks and I went back to get it taken off. They found that my poor old leg had got sore and died! They put me to sleep. I'm not sure what happened then but I ended up with three legs.
After all that hustle there was more to come. My owners had the idea of moving house. But the garden is huge and the shed is big. Then, after a couple of weeks three chickens arrived and because I'm a dwarf they're bigger than me. I am made to sleep in the shed with them. After a few weeks I was let out of my little pen and now I'm running round an acre of garden and field. I'm aloud in the field next door because my lovely owners trust me to come back.
My wife gets old and wets her self! Her legs got stiff and maggots started growing! She was taken to the vets and put down before she died an even worse death. A few tiers came with her death but I had to get on with my life. She was buried in the garden. I visit her grave now and then. I was very lonely and needed some friends. But, things started to change. My new friends are leap jump and hop, they're some of the wild bunnies around here. We have races and unfortunately I always loose, but you can't blame me, just remember I only have three legs.
I'm now very happy and I've had an interesting life.
