Writer and broadcaster has spent many years with the BBC, starting in Television drama, and going on to become Head of Presentation in Manchester After two secondments in the Middle East he returned to radio as an announcer, and presenter on Radio 4 and on Radio 3 where he presented many Proms and concerts in the Royal Festival Hall His writing has ranged from stories for the under fives to articles for the Lady, The Guardian and countryside magazines.
